Position Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and self-starting Junior Communications Coordinator to join our team on a part-time basis (10-15 hours per week). This is a 1099 contractor position, with compensation set at $25 per hour (negotiable based on experience). While this role is part-time, there is potential for additional work and opportunities in the future. The ideal candidate will be organized, an excellent writer, and experienced in working with PowerPoint, Slack, and Google Suite. They should have 1-2 years of experience in a similar role. We are looking to hire for an immediate start, and candidates must have their own device and internet access. Being based in Texas is preferred but not required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Senior Strategists with client work as needed, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.

  • Create and refine presentation decks that align with client and internal needs.

  • Draft, edit, and review copy for various projects and campaigns.

  • Organize and manage content calendars, ensuring deadlines are met and deliverables are tracked.

  • Coordinate and oversee project timelines to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of tasks.

  • Communicate effectively with team members using tools like Slack, ensuring clarity and collaboration.

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in communications, marketing, or a related field.

  • Proficiency in PowerPoint, Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides), and Slack.

  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Strong writing and editing skills, with attention to detail and consistency in tone and style.

  • A proactive, self-motivated attitude and the ability to work independently.

  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

  • Must have their own device and reliable internet access.

Compensation:

  • $25 per hour (negotiable based on experience).

  • 10-15 hours per week, with flexibility in scheduling based on workload and deadlines.

Contract Terms: This is a 1099 contractor position. As such, the Junior Communications Coordinator will not be considered an employee of the company. The company will not provide benefits such as health insurance, paid time off, or retirement contributions. The contractor will be responsible for their own taxes and any other statutory obligations. This agreement does not guarantee ongoing or future employment, and either party may terminate the agreement at any time with appropriate notice.
