Position Overview:

We are looking for a proactive and highly organized part-time Project Management Strategist to support ongoing client work—starting with a strategic implementation project for a financial services client. This is a 1099 contractor position with a commitment of ~20 hours per week, with compensation set at $40/hour. The ideal candidate is experienced in project lifecycle management, has a knack for cross-functional team coordination, and can confidently drive timelines and deliverables. This role is remote, and candidates must have their own device and reliable internet access.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the full lifecycle of strategic projects, from discovery through implementation.

  • Develop and maintain project scope, schedules, and deliverables across internal teams and external vendors.

  • Oversee creation of project communications, testing, training, and implementation plans.

  • Monitor project milestones, escalate risks, and manage change control processes.

  • Coordinate stakeholder communications and reporting through meetings, trackers, and status updates.

  • Track capacity and ensure teams are properly resourced to meet project goals.

  • Identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements tailored to client workflows.

  • Drive collaboration across functions (e.g. Marketing, IT, Product) to ensure successful project rollout.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in project management, preferably in communications, marketing, or operations.

  • Proven ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects in both startup and enterprise environments.

  • Experience with PM tools and reporting dashboards (e.g., Asana, Monday.com, Notion, G Suite, Excel/Sheets).

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Detail-oriented and deadline-driven, with a problem-solving mindset.

  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience creating documentation like SLAs, timelines, and trackers.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple stakeholders simultaneously.

Compensation:

  • $40 per hour.

  • 20 hours per week with potential to scale up based on project needs.

Contract Terms: This is a 1099 contractor position. As such, the Project Management Strategist will not be considered an employee of the company. The company will not provide benefits such as health insurance, paid time off, or retirement contributions. The contractor will be responsible for their own taxes and any other statutory obligations. This agreement does not guarantee ongoing or future employment, and either party may terminate the agreement at any time with appropriate notice.
